This record describes a 1990s video of ship‑model and evacuation experiments in waves, carried out by KTH and industry partners at the KTH towing tank, SSPA’s towing tank and wave basin in Gothenburg and at the Marintek towing tank in Trondheim.

The video cassette has been made available by Karl Garme at the Department of Aerospace, Moveability & Naval Architecture at KTH, at the time of the recording called Department of Aeronautical and Vehicle Engineering.

Conversion to digital from VHS tape was made by OBS Studio 32.1.1 on Xubuntu 24.04 recording both video and audio (although the original tape appeared to lack any audio content). The converter was set to the PAL video standard which retained the original colour video, and the digital file keeps the original size of 720 pixels by 576 pixels (5:4 aspect ratio).
