The KTH Internal Archive is intended for data that can be shared with restricted access but within KTH. If you have data where access to files needs to be restricted only to a limited group you need to request a project or group community instead. You as depositor can select access level when you deposit data - recommended for internal archive is to set the access level to restricted. The curators at the library-RDM team will curate KTH-affiliated research data in the internal archive and check that:
- Data is well-described with sufficient metadata
 - That the data is deposited with the intended access-level according to KTH research data guidelines The guidelines in short:
- Data should be submitted with sufficient metadata to comply with the FAIR principles
 - Non-confidential data is recommended to be published at KTH open data community instead
 - You cannot publish any confidential data with full open access to the datasets - data with restricted access can be accepted into the internal archive
 - We will ask you some questions in order to guide you to suitable access levels for data before accepting the data -your submission will not be accepted until we have received sufficient information about the dataset

What counts as confidential data? The data can be subjected to restricted access due to legal or ethical concerns for example for information that uniquely identifies persons, is subjected to export control or is classified as confidential due to other identified risks of causing harm to individuals or organisations.
If you have confidential /sensitive data and want to get support on how to comply with funding agencies guidelines, journal guidelines and legal requirements regarding making data underlying your results available contact researchdata@kth.se for more information on how to submit the data for deposit at KTH.
